With Eye Movement and Desensitization (EMDR) therapy we can reduce and eliminate disturbing symptoms in a shorter period of time, such as feeling tense, recurring self-defeating patterns of behavior that result in conflicts, preoccupation with worries, and sleep disturbances. In addition, you can get relief from unconscious patterns of surviving, such as attachment to substances, people-pleasing, or disordered eating. I may additionally pull from other therapeutic lenses such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) to target unhelpful, critical self-talk, promote mindfulness, establish plans for resolve, and, ultimately, offer clients a sense of relief and empowerment.
