Adam Rifkin is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is nationally certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). He has received advanced training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R), 6 years of which were under the direct supervision of Dr. Aaron T. Beck, who is regarded as the father of Cognitive Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).
Adam’s believes in providing a safe, accepting, and empathic space for anyone looking to make helpful changes in their life. He believes in providing the highest quality of care by only utilizing evidence-based forms of therapy that have been proven effective in treating specific challenges. Treatment typically focuses on collaborating with clients to reduce the challenges that they are currently experiencing while concurrently increasing their sense of self by building on strengths, capabilities, and resilience while taking steps toward living one’s desired life.
When Adam is not seeing clients, he serves as an adjunct faculty member in Beck Institute’s Center for Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy, where he leads workshops and provides consultations for clinicians who are seeking to provide more effective and recovery focused care to individuals who are diagnosed with serious mental health conditions.
Adam is available to provide Telehealth services to individuals in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
